  • Natural light abounds in this streamlined kitchen. Cabinetry from Binova creates a contemporary backdrop. Black floors ground the space. Leather armchairs from West Elm surround an oval table in the breakfast area.

  • This country-style kitchen features a large island that serves as both a dining area as well as a workspace. The white marble island top gets a sunny lift from French bar stools painted in blue and yellow and cushioned with checks of yellow and white. The blue-and-white backsplash also provides soft color and pattern.

  • Blue walls provide a soothing canvas for white cabinetry from Wood Mode and a dazzling backsplash. An expansive center island grounds the space and encourages an organic flow between the kitchen and breakfast area.

  • White cabinets from Kountry Kraft keep the spacious kitchen feeling light and bright. Planning pays off in this smart kitchen featuring two islands—one for cooking and the other for cleaning.

  • Black stools and dark wood floors provide contrast to this mostly white kitchen and keep the space grounded. Reflective surfaces such as glass, stainless steel, and antique French mirror panels on the refrigerator maximize light.

  • Cherry wood cabinets were painted white with EnviroSafe paint in this cheery kitchen.  Pendant lights from Urban Archeology hang above the island, topped with honed Danby marble.

  • A marble-topped island and fresh white palette establish the kitchen area in this open-plan home. A custom light fixture illuminates the work area, which has views of the covered porch and outdoors. Behind the range wall is a walk-in pantry.

  • The traditional white-on-white kitchen gets a graphic update with geometric patterns here. The cupboard valances feature gothic details, while a beadboard ceiling adds texture. Charming tin lights are designed by Colette van den Thillart and painted a chalky Swedish blue.

  • A beautiful built-in hutch is the centerpiece for this kitchen. Apothecary drawers match the grid pattern established by the cupboard’s fogged windowpanes. Stained cork floors continue the pattern to the floor and create a graphic backdrop. A striking marble backsplash and elegant arch give the hutch a classic shape.
