is back… and YOU can be part of it!

Submit your fave NEW TRAD designer and you could be a guest editor in the next issue.

For the past 4 years, Traditional Home has recognized up-and-coming design talent with its annual hot list of NEW TRAD designers. This year, we want your help…

We’re inviting bloggers to help us identify the next wave of emerging design talent. We’re on the hunt for 10 up-and-coming designers who epitomize the new traditional design style to be showcased in the Spring 2012 issue of TRADhome—our interactive digital magazine.

Want to help? Send us a project by your favorite new traditional
designer. If we choose your submission, you’ll have the opportunity to be
a guest editor for TRADhome’s Spring 2012 issue.

SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED FOR 10 DAYS:

All submissions due no later than Saturday, January 21 at 5pm est

EMAIL SUBMISSIONS TO: NewTrads2012@TraditionalHome.com

Here’s what we need from you:
  1. GREAT DESIGN A project from a designer who you believe is a true up-and-comer in the design world. Remember, a NEW TRAD designer redefines “traditional” and interprets it in his/her own familiar, yet fresh fashion. We’re looking for full projects here—houses, apartments, etc.
  2. INSPIRATION Tell us what you feel the designer has accomplished with this project and how it demonstrates his/her distinct point-of-view.
  3. ACCOLADES Tell us why you feel that this designer should be selected as one of the 2012 NEW TRAD designers.
  4. PRETTY PICTURES Provide images of the designer’s project, along with the location. Images should be submitted as a Zip file, no larger than 10 MB.
  5. DETAILS Include a bio of the designer—include name, company name, address, phone, email, Twitter username, and a URL for his/her website (if applicable).
  6. AND MORE DETAILS Include a bio for yourself—include your name, blog name, address, phone, email, Twitter username and a URL for your blog.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

  • You cannot nominate yourself. If you are a designer (in addition to a blogger) feel free to call up a blogger pal to nominate you!
  • The project must be available to be photographed for the magazine—and must not have been previously published in print or digital format.
  • We want to get to know you—both you and your designer must be available to be photographed for the story.
  • You can submit more than one project from a designer—or more than one designer—but each submission must be sent separately.
  • And finally, the buck stops here: you’ll receive a byline and a finder’s fee if your submission is chosen.

Feel Free to Share this with Your Blogging Friends! Click here to submit your NEW TRAD designer today!
