Here's an observance we can all sink our teeth into: National S'mores Day

Celebrate in good taste this August 10th with recipes from lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, who takes the classic roasted marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker treat to delicious new heights.

S’more Squares

 

Ingredients:

  • Vegetable Oil for Brushing
  • 4 packages unflavored gelatin
  • 3 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus 6 tablespoons room temperature, plus more for pan
  • 14 graham crackers, crushed to yield 1 1/2 cups crumbs
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces

S'mores Cookies

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)
  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour (spooned and leveled)
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup light-brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, cut into 30 squares
  • 15 large marshmallows, halved horizontally

S'mores Milkshake

 

Ingredients:

  • 9 marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate ice cream
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Hot Fudge Sauce
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 graham cracker, plus more pieces for topping
  • Lightly sweetened whipped cream
