Hot List: Dazzling Faucets and Finishes

New finishes and amazing faucet designs bring beauty to the kitchen and bath

Written by Sally Finder Weepie

Soft elegance takes the spotlight in the newest offering from Kohler, a Rose Gold faucet finish. True to its name, this finish offers a warmth and brilliance, maintaining a balance between luster and allure that conveys softness, refinement, and elegance. “This finish fits well across many palettes and is available in a broad range of faucets and accessories for coordinated bathroom solutions," says Julie Kober, associate director of Kohler Faucet finishes.

3-D printing technology takes a turn for the beautiful in the new Grid Collection by Kallista. Available beginning in summer 2018, Grid pays homage to the architects, designers, and artists who stepped away from 19th-century design norms to embrace the clean, minimalist forms that rose to prominence with the advent of the De Stijl movement. These principles of form, function, and scale are represented in the Grid collection, which boasts a sink faucet executed using 3-D print technology, along with a wall-hung console, lighting, and accessories.

New finishes are in abundance at Rohl, which is introducing five new options on its luxury faucets. Shown on the "Georgian" faucet, English Gold makes an elegant statement and adds a pop of color to the kitchen. The finish is made using polished nickel that is then covered in 14K gold. This finish is exclusive to the Perrin and Rowe Kitchen and Bath Collections. Rohl also is debuting Black Stainless Steel, Italian Brass, Rose Gold, and Satin Unlacquered Brass—which will pantina over time, but has a satin polish to give a smooth, sophisticated tone.

Following the success of the Brilliance Luxe Gold finish in the Litze Kitchen and Bath collections, Brizo is extending this rich finish to the Artesso Kitchen Collection and the Virage, Rook, and Odin Bath Collections. This expansion provides additional architecture options for homeowners looking for a warm, lustrous look. Brizo also is unveiling coordinated finished metal hoses for the popular Articulating Kitchen Faucets. The coordinated metal hoses will be available in all finishes featured within the Artesso, Solna, and Litze Kitchen Collections, enhancing the dynamic design and allowing for additional customization.

For the bath, Brizo offers up the Levoir Collection. Paying homage to the slender proportions and graceful forms seen in classic British automobile design, the Levoir Bath Collection distills the essence of timeless sophistication. The name Levoir was inspired by the sleekness of style and architecture of the 1960s, deriving from the word “sight” in French, specifically meaning “to see him.” The stunning contours, rounded geometries and slender forms seen throughout the collection eliminate unnecessary weight and mass. Gracefully curved chamfered edges throughout the collection reveal the subtle influences of a midcentury aesthetic, while the intersecting planes on the cross handles are sculpted to precision—delivering simple yet elegant silhouettes that create streamlined harmony.  Available in late 2018.

Rhen, Pfister’s newest bath collection, launching in fall 2018, is inspired by the graceful movement of fabric and the alluring curvatures of an hourglass. The collection’s initial muse was an heirloom wedding gown interwoven with flowing drapery details. Rhen products and accessories include faucets, showering products, and bath accessories. Finishes for Rhen include polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, and brushed gold.
