  • This kitchen got a serious face-left from designer John K. George. A built-in china hutch was painted a charismatic red, while cabinets were updated with moldings on the door fronts and a fresh coat of paint in a soft green. The coffered ceiling is composed of reclaimed wood, from which hangs a pair of vintage light fixtures salvaged from a church. The fixtures double as an iron pot rack.

  • Elegant Green Kitchen

This kitchen gives a whole new meaning to living “green.” Low-VOC paint was used to keep harmful chemicals out of the picture. The cabinets were crafted from domestically grown wood, and appliances are energy- and water-efficient to reduce the kitchen’s environmental impact. Hi-tech ventilation systems keep fresh air continuously coursing through the space.

  • Navy Blue and Rich Wood Kitchen

Custom navy blue cabinetry wraps this room in a cool, contemporary hue highlighted by the bold, warm wooden floors.  The sleek design of the cabinets is complemented by a simple subway tile backsplash beneath. Pottery from Bauer adds a touch of pattern.

  • Pastel Kitchen

Pistachio-hued cabinets and limed-oak floors give this kitchen a soothing aesthetic. Beams original to the house stretch across the ceiling and match the updated cupboards. The muted hues allow the natural light to bounce around to every nook and cranny.

  • Warm and Cozy Kitchen

An aubergine Aga stove pairs with a French-inspired stained cherry and muted turquoise-painted island to establish the berry-colored palette for this cozy kitchen. The cabinets’ handcrafted bronze knobs, latches, and rail-style handles complement the island’s brass top and trim, enhancing the area’s warm feel. Cherry crown moldings repeat the wood finish on the island and accent the new white-painted beadboard ceiling. An antique rug puts the finishing touch on the cozy space.
