Begin with two pint tumblers, one half-filled with ice.
Add 2 shots of tequila.
Martin advises against using ‘top shelf’ marques, because these are equivalent to fine French brandies, and like them should be sipped straight, and would be wasted in a cocktail. The tequila should be 100% agave and Martin recommends using a good quality brand like Jose Cuervo Tradicional, which is hand-crafted and barrel aged. Steer clear of blends and the cheaper brands unless you’re after something that can polish your spurs and give you a hangover.
