Doug Atherly was assisted in this project by his team in London, Kristina Curtis and Liz Williams. He draws on both Asian and Western influences to create an elegant, unfussy style.

“I’ve got two young kids, and we design a lot of family houses in prime areas,” Doug says. “I tend to do most of my work based on how I want to live, and what I would want to live in. It makes the whole process a lot easier. Obviously, there are variations on that approach, but it definitely means when I come to a space, especially in this case with an imaginary client, I can generally feel quite satisfied with it.”
