"I envision most of the dining, especially when they're entertaining, to be outdoors on the terrace," Gorrivan says. All three levels of the villa, in fact, have private terraces and decks overlooking the ocean, creating multiple venues for alfresco meals or drinks. But while the casualness of Gorrivan's design beckons weekenders to kick back, it doesn't preclude sophistication.
