Though it may be drizzling out—this is Portland, Oregon, after all—you’ll almost always find the door at MKID wide open. Shop owner and interior designer Amanda Montgomery Klash insists on it. “I always like to have good music playing, a nice scent in the air, and the door open if the weather permits,” says Amanda. “The shop really has a wonderful ambience.”
