"But Enough About Me."
Thomas Lavin and Traditional Home present Madeline Stuart
1:00 pm
Thomas Lavin, Suite B310
Madeline Stuart
is opinionated, talented, and well-read-and happens to be one of Los Angeles's most prolific and talked-about designers. Join Traditional Home and Thomas Lavin in welcoming Madeline to the podium as she talks about her entry into the interior design world-a seemingly natural choice given her decorator mother, but one she made only after myriad detours. Madeline will illustrate her presentation with images of early as well as current interiors and address how she progressed from making one-off custom pieces for clients to manufacturing a line of furniture based on her designs.
"Today's Trends. Tomorrow's Classics": A discussion with Traditional Home
2:00 pm
Brunschwig & Fils, Suite B653
Candace Ord Manroe, Senior Design Editor for Traditional Home, will sit down with designer and author Cathy Whitlock and Judith Straeten, curator/archivist for Brunschwig & Fils, for an intimate discussion about which design trends of today are destined to be classics in the near future. Cathy will also discuss her new book, re-de-sign: New Directions for Your Interior Design Career, and how the business world of today is shaping design and the creative landscape of tomorrow.
