Now there are so many choices that the challenge is editing. “A wonderful result of the green movement is that now it’s much easier to find materials and resources to create with, particularly in the textile world,” Bonnie explains.
Viva Terra pajamas and bed linens are made of renewable bamboo or silk. Cotton towels and linens are “certified organic, not just something that says ‘natural,’” she notes.
Recycled metal is fashioned into tables and chairs, while wood furniture
is crafted from salvaged lumber or from timber grown in managed and monitored forests and plantations. Even plastic refuse is put to use, woven into colorful doormats and durable rugs.
