Relaxing Guest Room

Designer Matthew Patrick Smyth envisioned this gray-and-beige guest room as a traveler’s retreat whose palette would encourage relaxation. An Empire daybed made of iron and brass is topped with a regal pleated corona, embellished with nailheads and a silk trim. A sisal rug in a quatrefoil pattern adds texture to the floor, while custom fabricated panels framing the windows lend interest to the walls.
