Hot List: Sophisticated New Finds

Bring in a luxe look with a new faucet, countertops, or even windows and doors

The new Tamalpais Series by California Faucets puts a chic spin on industrial style for today's luxe bath. The widespread faucet featuring a clean-lined, L-shape spout and handles is the centerpiece of the series that includes tub and shower fittings, plus coordinating bath accessories. Like all of California Faucets fittings, the Tamalpais lavatory faucet and accompaniments are constructed of solid brass and available in more than 30 artisan finishes, from classic chrome, brass, and nickel tones to rustic copper and bronze looks.

The new Vaia series by Dornbracht brings elegance to the bath with a delicate spout that feels at home in both traditional and transitional bathrooms. Vaia is currently available in platinum matte and polished chrome finishes. And this fall, Dornbracht will introduce a new finish: dark platinum matte. Its dark, lightly brushed silk matte color is warm, soft, and grounding, creating a feeling of old-world charm in the bathroom.

The just-launched Pescara family of faucets and sinks from Franke bring a contemporary look to the kitchen with designs in sleek stainless steel. The faucets available in four styles, including a handy pull-down, feature an intuitive switch that allows for altering between full and needle spray and are available in polished chrome, steel, or satin nickel finishes. The sinks are offered in seven sizes, all with square drain designs.

The new Unlacquered Brass finish from Victoria + Albert brings a warm, sophisticated vibe to the bath. Available on all Florin and Staffordshire faucets, the living finish ages naturally over time, developing a unique patina over the life of the fixture. The absence of lacquer allows the solid brass to gradually darken and revel subtle undertones of color and texture, creating beautiful old-world elegance.

Cambria has added eight new designs, including Skye (pictured), and a new Matte finish to its portfolio of quartz designs for kitchen counters, bathroom vanities, wet bars, fireplace surrounds, and more. The Matte finish offers a low-sheen look like honed marble, but without the worry. The quartz is maintenance-free, nonporous, and stain- and scratch-resistant.
