Pamper yourself with an indulgent space to prepare for the day and to wind down each evening.

A gleaming expanse of polished statuary marble sets the stage for this light, airy, and luxe bath. Navy on the Roman shades and towels bring a hit of color. Gilded étagères, gilt benches from France, custom gilt mirrors, and an antique chandelier inject sparkle.

    Tile Style

Amazing tile and finely crafted cabinetry meet in this serene master bath. The large-scale stone mosaic floor tile fits the grand scale of the room. Mirrors accentuate the natural light and also reflect the double-entry shower stall’s showpiece abstract tilework.

    Pure Romance

Entering the master bath in this respectfully restored California villa is like escaping to a relaxed Riviera getaway. An 18th-century French mirror and 19th-century French tufted chair speak to old-world style, and the cares of the day wash away in a magnificent claw-foot tub.

    Textural Tales

The bath in this new home by architect Bobby McAlpine features 100-year-old wood reclaimed from a plantation house and cotton gin. The roughness of the wood was the muse for interior designer Susan Ferrier, who balanced the rich tones with a white distressed finish on twin vanity cabinets. The glam comes from a freestanding “Margaux” tub from Waterworks.

    Epic Elegance

An airy palette of light gray and white sets a sophisticated mood in this master bath. Gray in the marble floors inspired the gray vanity, bench, and fabric trim. “A simple Roman shade just made sense with the elegant, clean feel we were going for,” designer Chenault James says.

    Coastal Cool

Schumacher’s “Modern Trellis” wallpaper in a cool blue brings a spa-like feel to this master bathroom. A pool photograph and shell mirrors play up the coastal vibe.

    Warm and Cozy

A stained-glass window inspired the warm ocher wall color in this Hollywood Hills bath. A vintage tub and milk glass light fixture speak to the home’s history. The Art Deco floor tiles are original to the house.

    Artfully Done

A contemporary abstract painting elevates the style of this bath, created by Janie Hirsch for the Atlanta Symphony Decorators’ Showhouse. Blush pink on graphic-patterned linen draperies balances the gender-neutral gray on walls. A freestanding tub lends injects elegant curves.

    Sleek and Chic

A laser-cut, marble-and-glass design on the surround makes the tub the star of this master bath, which also features gorgeous expanses of Calacatta Gold marble and twin showers.

    More Is More

The bold style of the ‘70s influenced Elsa R. Soyars’ design of this bath for the 2014 Hampton Designer Showhouse. A green area rug and coordinating oversize lantern incorporate shots of color in the space, which also gets young energy from fun throw pillows and art.

    Solid Comfort

A freestanding soaking tub is tucked into a niche for a spa-like setting in this master bath. Neutral floor tiles have a natural, sliced-lumber look. An in-floor heating system keeps them cozy on the toes.
