Market Moments

Some of the best—and most fun—new products our editors are seeing the week of June 4

Written by Anna Logan

Dust off your porches and light your citronella candles because it’s time for outdoor entertaining. This week’s Market Moments features all the things we’re coveting for our patios and gardens this summer. From eco-friendly seating to picnic ready dinnerware, we’ve got you covered

Thomas Fuchs End of Day Glasses

As the sun sets over your backyard, pour a glass of your favorite adult libation in these beautiful glasses by designer Thomas Fuchs. Available exclusively at Barney’s, these Italian-made glasses give a modern twist on the popular end-of-day style glassware. Frenetic patterns and dynamic colors are a signature of this style, but Fuchs gives them a much-needed refreshing.

Yardbird Furniture

When father and son team Bob and Jay Dillon began their research into creating a line of beautifully built furniture for the modern consumer, they were struck by the amount of waste surrounding factories they had toured in Asia. In an effort to accomplish their dreams and save the earth, they launched Yardbird in April. Four of their nine lines feature a resin wicker made of 50 percent recycled plastics, which they plan to raise to 75 percent by 2019. We love the Waverly style.

Cowboy Range Tent

Turn your backyard cowboy Chic with this tent from Kaufmann Mercantile. If you can’t escape to the woods this summer, throw a party and invite all your favorite friends over for some serious glamping. Sheridan Tent & Awning has been handmaking tents in Wyoming since 1909. If it’s good enough for the cowboys, it’s good enough for us.

Backgammon

Backgammon may be thousands of years old, but the Museum of Modern Art brought it into modern day with bright, exciting colors. A set like this is sure to liven up your next barbecue with a little friendly competition amongst your closest friends.

Officinando Charger

New for spring on Artemest, these chargers from Officiando have us dreaming of tropical breezes and mojitos in tall, cool glasses. This charger is part of 2 of the I 100 Collection launched by Officinando, a luxury Italian brand led by Anna Sarcinelli. Each steel charger is handmade in Italy.
