Miyuki Yamaguchi, LEED AP, originally from Tokyo, has a fondness for classic style with a twist of elegance and casual comfort. After studying design at UC Berkeley architecture school, she began her interior design career at notable design firms such as Orlando Diaz-Azcuy and Gensler in San Francisco. In her career spanning over 25 years, she has learned that it is essential to listen to her clients, create a big design concept and execute it well with attention to detail. Whether it is a small powder room or a new hotel overseas, her attitude towards each project is always consistent. Scale, proportion, balance, texture, layer, color, form and function all serve a common purpose to please the client so that they feel comfortable and enjoy the space she creates for them. Design is a process — full of intension, passion, and energy. She hopes to pass this passion onto others by teaching in her spare time at UC Berkeley Extension.
After spending much of her adulthood in San Francisco and Berkeley, she has recently moved to Napa where she truly enjoys the relaxed lifestyle, abundance in nature, and beautiful vineyard landscapes. She continues what she loves and knows best, creating timeless and feel-good spaces.
