Tobi Fairley's Most Colorful Rooms
I’m known for my use of bright and bold color palettes, and I love to push the envelope when it comes to fashion-forward style! So let’s take a look at some of my most colorful spaces.

Crisp Cobalt Entry
My clients for this penthouse love to push the style envelope, and I turned up the volume for the entry with cobalt, black, white, and touches of gold.
Hunter Green Dining Room
In that same penthouse, custom de Gournay wallpaper provided the inspiration for this fun mix of hunter green, bright gold, and orchid.
I love how a bold hue used in this small study actually makes it cozy instead of crazy. I enveloped the entire room in a high-gloss periwinkle (a combo of purple and blue) and accented it with black and chartreuse.
Not-So-Mellow Yellow Game Room
Like so many of my color choices, this acid yellow was inspired by a pillow fabric. It’s a perfectly energizing color for this family/game room.
The seaside inspired this turquoise-blue, which I also used in the ceramic-tile backsplash for a colorful effect.
Perfectly Pink Girl’s Room
For this tween girl, going powder pink would have been too sweet, so I used the floral fabric as inspiration for a bolder look, grounded with black and white to achieve a retro feel.
Artistic Living Room
The clients’ original and colorful art served as the jumping-off point for a magical mix of patterns and color–including chartreuse on the ceiling!
Blue Jean Playroom
A kids’ playroom is the perfect place to experiment with color. I also tried a fun texture that makes the walls look like chambray! Pops of red and white make it a playful palette.
Orange Master Suite
For the Traditional Home showhouse in the Hamptons a few years ago, I found a great toile that gave me the color mix for this master suite. With this combination of gray and orange, as well as florals and geometrics, it’s both masculine and feminine.
Un-Basic Brown Dining Room
Once again, the wallpaper inspired the palette in this room, but I turned it up a notch with the turquoise fabrics and the custom-painted gold chandelier.
