I love creating gorgeous and functional master bedrooms for my clients—rooms where they can really get away from it all. Here’s a look at my five favorite bedrooms that offer a great escape!
In this comfortable farmhouse master, I made sure that my clients could really relax by offering gorgeous upholstered chairs and a soft-as-butter ottoman that would be perfect for curling up next to the fireplace.
And with serene views of pastures and cows outside, I used a nature-inspired color palette to bring that same relaxing feel indoors.
In a stunning penthouse retreat, I lacquered the ceiling in a midnight blue and offered sumptuous linens to create a luxe haven. And I increased the sex-appeal with snakeskin wallcovering and fur accents.
The color palette in this master bedroom is so calming and relaxing that I honestly would never want to leave. And the space is traditional in style but very edited, so it feels comfortable and clean-lined all at the same time.
I used a lot of details from the best boutique hotels in this master suite, like plenty of seating, lush draperies to block out the light, and a bed that’s comfortable and inviting. A desk as one of the bedside tables is perfect for a bit of work, journaling your thoughts, or a place to stack all those books you are reading!
Many master bedrooms are shared by couples who have different tastes, so I always try to balance masculine and feminine, as well as pattern and color. I want everyone who uses the room to feel right at home. This bedroom is a perfect mix of him and her—pattern and solids, traditional and modern, dark and light.
