Shabby Chic—And Charitable

Written by Rebecca Christian

We think these shoes from TOMS and Shabby Chic are just the thing for a spring fling, whether it's stepping out in the flats to the Farmer's Market or wearing the wedges to a garden wedding.

They're the result of a collaboration between the two companies (TOMS a maker of classic shoes and eyewear; Shabby Chic, a maker of vintage-inspired home furnishings) to create two types of limited edition shoes. The whimsically romantic shoes will be available February 18, 2013, the Classic (flat) for $59 and the Wedge for $74.  Through the TOMS One for One project, a child in need will be given a new pair of shoes for each purchase, and Shabby Chic will donate a portion of the proceeds of each sale to Upward Bound House, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency and transitional housing for homeless families.

You can buy the shoes online at TOMS starting February 18. They will also be available at TOMS Abbot Kinney Store in Venice, California, and in some Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture stores.
